2NE1 member Sandara Park has been appointed to be a judge for an upcoming Philippine audition program “Pinoy Boyband Superstar.”
The show will be broadcasted starting September. Dara is expected to go back and forth the Philippines for shooting.
Pinoy Boyband Superstar is the Philippine version of the same audition program that aired in the United States at the end of last year. Dara will be joining Vice Ganda and Yeng Constantino in the judges’ panel.
Before the challenge, Dara said, “It’s good to experience a variety of things in various areas. I think these experiences will be helpful to me in the future.
“The Philippines is where I grew up, where I was brought up to pursue music as my dream, and where people sent much love. It really is a special place for me,” Dara continued. “My love for the Philippines hasn’t changed, so I want to say thank you to the Filipino fans who have been waiting for me.”
Before debuting in Korea, Dara was under ABS-CBN, the Philippines’ largest broadcasting network. She won second place in the star search program “Star Circle Quest” in 2004 and has enjoyed popularity since then.
