Korean film ‘The Front Line’ to be screened in 3rd Asia on Screen Film Festival

Historical Korean film “The Front Line” is included in the lineup for the 3rd Asia on Screen Film Festival which will run from September 15 to 18, 2016 at Greenbelt 3 Cinemas in Makati City.

The Front Line (고지전) is a 2011 historical drama movie set during a 1953 Korean War battle that would the border between the north and the south. It stars South Korean actors Shin Hakyun (known for the films “Joint Security Area,” “Save the Green Planet!” and “Welcome to Dongmakgol” and TV series “Mr. Baek”) and Go Soo (appeared in and films “Some” and “White Night” and TV series “Piano,” “Green Rose,” and “Marrying a Millionaire”). “The Front Line” won several recognition in South Korea including Best Film in the 20th Buil Film Awards, and Best Film and Best Cinematography in the 48th Grand Bell Awards. It was also South Korea’s submission to the 84th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.

The 3rd Asia on Screen is Manila’s premier Asian film festival and will feature 14 award-wining and critically-acclaimed films from 11 countries in the Asia-Pacific including Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Tickets will be available at the Greenbelt 3 Cinemas at PHP 100 per screening.
