OFFROAD shows charm and talent as they meet PH press

They may be new to your ears but with their charms, talent, rapport, and almost never-ending excitement, OFFROAD is definitely no rookie. And KStreetManila is lucky to have met them during their press conference last October 6!

OFFROAD is a five-member Korean boy group signed under ShowBT Korea. They are composed of Daewon, Habin, Harang, Kino, and Rio. They released their first single “Bebop” on September 19, 2012 and had their debut stage on KBS Music Bank two days later. It was followed up by their second digital single “Head Banging,” a track produced by Block B’s Zico and was released on March 25, 2013. Two of the members, Kino and Rio, formed a subunit called OHNOBRO, releasing a track called “Magic Wand” on July 4, 2014.

It is OFFROAD’s first time in the Philippines, arriving on October 5, and they are delighted to finally meet their Filipino fans. At the press conference held at the Discovery Suites in Ortigas, OFFROAD shared experiences, exciting news, and a number of fun facts about themselves, individually and as a group.

The first time they were told that they are going to the Philippines, the group’s leader Daewon said it was an unexpected news so their initial reaction was excitement. Harang added that he has seen and heard many Korean idols going to Boracay so he wanted to try going there. Surprisingly, he also wanted to try balut! What a brave soul we got there.

When asked about their impression on Filipino fans, maknae and rapper Kino said that they have talked to lots of Filipino fans on their social media accounts. Harang followed up saying that he’s heard of Filipino fans being one of the liveliest fans. If the fans are “alive,” he said they will be “alive” on stage, too (so fans, make sure you show that we are indeed the loudest!). The group also shared the K-Pop idols they look up to. Most of them answered Big Bang, as well as EXO, BEAST, Rain, Se7en, and Jay Park. They were not too shy to share their fave girl groups as well, mentioning Red Velvet, Suzy of Miss A, and TWICE!

And here’s some good news to OFFROAD’s fans. Daewon said that they are now preparing for their new album! They are yet to work on their music video but they expect to release it early next year! So who’s in this because we are!

OFFROAD will be having an exclusive fan meeting on October 14, 2016 at the Korean Cultural Center of the Philippines. Aside from this, there is a planned mini-concert with details yet to be announced as the group is, in fact, staying in the country for almost a month! There will be plenty of opportunities to meet these amazing and lively boys so make sure you don’t miss them!

Luckily, KStreetManila was given the chance to have a short exclusive interview with OFFROAD! We will be releasing it soon so watch out for it! Meanwhile, check out the photos taken from the press conference on our Facebook page. Also, to get more updates about OFFROAD’s schedules and whereabouts, you may like their official Facebook page and follow their Twitter and Instagram accounts.

We would like to thank ShowBT Korea and ShowBT Philippines for giving us the opportunity to meet OFFROAD.
