Love in the Moonlight, Goblin, other K-Dramas to air on ABS-CBN this 2017

ABS-CBN is set to bring some of the best Korean drama series to Filipino television this Year of the Rooster.

The country’s biggest TV network has been posting trailers and teasers of their 2017 Korean drama line-up since late last year. The list includes Love in the Moonlight, Legend of the Blue Sea, Goblin, K2, and Hwarang. Here are some quick info on the dramas ABS-CBN will be airing:

Love in the Moonlight (KBS)

Love in the Moonlight is the story of Crown Prince Hyomyeong (Park Bogum), who takes interest in a eunuch and male relationship counselor Hong Raon (Kim Yoojung). Little does he know that Raon is actually a woman disguised as a man.

Fun fact: ABS-CBN managed to get a shout-out from Love in the Moonlight stars Park Bogum and Kim Yoojung! Watch it below:

Legend of the Blue Sea (SBS)

In 1598, newly appointed governor Kim Damryeong (Lee Minho) rescues a mermaid he named Sehwa (Jun Jihyun), but fate was not on their side. Fast forward to the present day, Damryeong is now a conman and meets the mermaid who he is destined to meet again.

Goblin (tvN)

Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) is an immortal goblin who also protects souls. One day, he meets a girl named Ji Euntak (Kim Goeun) who has the ability to see ghosts. It turns out, Euntak is destined to be his bride and to return him to ashes.

K2 (tvN)

Kim Jeha (Ji Changwook) is called K2, a former soldier for hire. Choi Yoojin (Song Yoonah), wife of presidential candidate Jang Sejoon, enlists him as a bodyguard to Go Anna (SNSD’s Yoona), the hidden daughter of Jang Sejoon. Jeha accepts the job to get revenge on another presidential candidate. Slowly, the protector and the protected fall in love.

Hwarang (KBS2)

Featuring a star-studded cast including Park Seojoon, Go Ara, Kim Jisoo, ZE:A’s Hyungsik, SHINee’s Minho, and BTS’ V, the story revolves around Hwarang (“Flowering Knights”), an elite group of male youth in the Kingdom of Silla.
