K-Pop boy groups, Kriesha Chu coming to Manila for Super Pop Con

Six K-Pop boy bands and a female solo artist are coming to the Philippines for another concert festival at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on July 7, 2017.

VIXX, B1A4, B.A.P, BTOB, Pentagon, B.I.G., and Kriesha Chu are all joining forces for Mission I: Super Pop Con 2017, a K-Pop music festival by Kirin, in partnership with All Access Production and Lumos E&M.

KIRIN is currently working on a special project with the local party PDP Laban in creating awareness on drug rehabilitation through creating free rehabilitation & renewal centers across the country. Super Popcon is part of this project, making it more than just a super K-Pop concert.

The event was first officially announced on May 6, 2017. Since then, a series of daily posters revealed the lineup. Ticket prices range between PHP 1,500 for General Admission and PHP 8,500 for SVIP.

The artists in the concert lineup have all been in the Philippines for the past two years at least. Just recently, B1A4, B.A.P, and BTOB attended the One K Concert in Manila last March 2, 2017. VIXX was part of the MBC Music Show Champion in Manila, the 200th episode of the popular music program. Pentagon, on the other hand, celebrated New Year in the Philippines during TV5’s 2017 countdown concert at the Quezon Memorial Circle.

On May 26, AAP announced that B.I.G would join Super Pop Con. On May 31, Kriesha Chu was added as well, making her the only female artist in the lineup.
