For Filipino SHINee World, it’s now or never.
SHINee World Philippines (SWPH), the main fanclub of SHINee in the country, released a survey today to assess the possibility of SHINee World Concert V in Manila this year.
The survey can be found here.
Although nothing has been set in stone as of writing time, the survey aims to determine how many SHINee World (or Shawols) can attend the concert, targeted to be held in July or August this year, and the amount fans can shell out for this event.
SWPH hopes to get as much responses as possible to be able to push through with the concert. According to the fanclub, “With the possibility of one of its members enlisting in the army next year (in which group activities may come to a halt for a long time), we are worried that this will be our last chance, hence we are trying, for the very last time, to have SHINee perform here with a solo concert.”
The survey can only be answered once by each local and international Shawols who are willing to attend the concert and will be up for a limited time only. The fans are spreading the word through #SWCVinMNL.
For several years since the group’s formation in 2008 under SM Entertainment, the Filipino fans have been hoping to have Onew, Jonghyun, Key, Minho, and Taemin here for a solo concert.
SHINee’s most recent visit to the country was during One K Global Peace Concert last March 2. This is the first time that the group came to the country with complete members. SWPH led a successful block seating and banner project that was acknowledged by the members.
In 2013, SHINee joined the lineup of artists for K-Pop Republic but without rapper and visual Minho due to conflicting schedules. In 2009, main dancer and maknae Taemin missed the group’s concert for Korean Cultural Festival after getting diagnosed with swine flu.
Let’s wish Filipino Shawols all the best!
