Globe launches male K-idol search in the Philippines

Globe Telecom, with Ayala Malls and Viu, launched “Hello K-Idol,” the country’s first nationwide search for the next big Korean idol from the Philippines.

The audition process, posted on Globe’s website, are divided into two waves. The first wave was the Cebu and Davao leg held on June 20 to 25.

The second wave will be in Metro Manila from June 27 to 28 at The Elements at Eton Centris in Quezon City. Gates shall be open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Interested applicants will have to be male, 18 to 27 years old, at least 170 cm or 5’4 in height, without existing recording contract, a Filipino citizen, and must come prepared with a performance number.

There are two levels for the audition. The first level is a live unrecorded performance in front of a contestant coordinatior. The second level will include several performances which will be recorded.

As of writing time, no information has been revealed as to the entertainment company that will handle the successful participants.
