The United Korean Community Association in the Philippines (UKCA) will be holding the annual talent competition of the 27th Philippines-Korea Cultural Exchange.
The contest is open to both Filipino and Korean nationals of all ages and will be divided into two categories, dance and singing. For the dance category, Filipino participants will have to perform either traditional Korean or K-Pop dance while Korean participants will have to perform a Filipino traditional dance. Likewise, for the singing category, Filipinos will have to sing either a traditional Korean or K-Pop song with Korean lyrics while Koreans will have to sing an OPM song, kundiman, or any genre as long as it is in Tagalog.
Application deadline is on July 15, 2018 and elimination will be done through YouTube. Semifinalists will be notified by August 1 although the date and venue for the semifinals are yet to be announced. The finals, however, will be on October 27 at the Aliw Theater from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
The champion will receive a trophy and cash prize of PHP 50,000. The first, second, and third place winners will also receive trophies and cash prizes of PHP 30,000, PHP 20,000, and PHP 10,000 respectively.
