PH BUDDYs’ love showered at Season of GFRIEND in Manila

Six-member girl group GFRIEND thanks fans for their passion and energy as they performed live for their first solo concert, Season of GFRIEND in Manila last Sunday!

Geared with their lightsticks and slogans, Filipino BUDDYs gathered at KIA Theatre in Cubao, Quezon City to greet Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji.

The girls opened the show with their hit song Fingertip. They also let the local fans hear the ballad version of Summer Rain in a heartfelt performance. Of course, the night won’t be complete without a performance of their other hits, Navillera, Time for the Moon Night, Rough, and Love Whisper!

GFRIEND further showed their individual charms with solo stages. SinB and Yerin impressed with their respective dance numbers. Sowon performed a cover of Sunmi’s Gashina and Umji followed with her version of IU’s 21. Eunha surprised with a sexy stage and Yuju displayed her vocal prowess.

If GFRIEND worked hard, it seemed like Filipino BUDDYs worked just as hard. The fans stunned their idols by singing along to Sunny Summer, Me Gustas Tu, and Glass Bead. They flashed their banners for a mini-event for the members and greeted Yerin and Umji who both celebrated their birthday last August 19. GFRIEND Philippines also prepared a video message, which made the girls emotional.

The members took the chance to get close and personal with the BUDDYs by coming down the stage and walking around the venue. Lucky fans were able to score selfies and interact with the girls.

Eunha said the Philippines is a country full of passion. Sowon asked fans to be healthy and happy until they can return for another concert. Umji noted that despite the language barrier, GFRIEND will continue to love and support BUDDYs.

Season of GFRIEND definitely made for a memorable night! Special thanks to My Music Taste for letting KStreetManila be a part of this concert!
