WATCH: MOMOLAND’s “Boom Boom” played at a Pinoy funeral procession

A Filipino funeral procession deviated from tradition when they played MOMOLAND’s hit song “Boom Boom,” turning what typically is treated as a solemn event into a jolly occasion.

According to user @MlNACHAEYU who posted the video, the deceased, an elderly lady, loved the song because her grandchildren would dance it for her.

Indeed, even after her passing, her kin who marched behind the hearse could be seen dancing to the song! It was unclear, however, where the said procession took place.

Reactions were varied although most were surprised, shocked, and even amazed. Some even noted how some Filipino families were starting to take a “happier” approach to funerals, preferring to remember fond memories and celebrate a life well spent.
