Red Velvet’s Irene has become a dancing meme…and everyone’s loving it!

If you have watched a 44-second video of Red Velvet’s Irene dancing to different songs, then you probably have seen the newest K-Pop meme.

A Facebook page named “The same video of Irene dancing different songs” parodies (more of like meme-ifies) the video of the Red Velvet leader dancing to Kim Yonja’s “Amor Fati” posted by KBS prior to the 2018 KBS Gayo Daechukje (Music Festival).

The said Facebook page began posting videos on January 3 and has garnered over 21,500 likes and 25,000 follows with 70 videos as of writing time. The overlaid songs varies, including Western pop songs, K-Pop, anime theme songs, and OPM (Original Pinoy Music).

Here are some of them (our favorites, to be quite frank):

iKON – Killing Me

$ucc – Siomai Rice

Valentino Khan – Pump

Initial D – Running in the 90s

NCT 127 – Cherry Bomb

Neon Genesis Evangelion – Cruel Angel’s Thesis

This Band – Kahit Ayaw Mo Na

Earth, Wind & Fire – September

Bag Raiders – Shooting Stars

Willie Revillame – Beep Beep Beep Ang Sabi ng Jeep

Check out the rest of the videos here!
