A crowd of 3,000 fans and esteemed guests from the Philippines, South Korea, and other parts of the world gathered at SM Mall of Asia for the 2019 K-Pop Friendship Concert held last March 7.

The concert is the opening event for the “Year of Mutual Exchange” between the Philippines and South Korea. It also celebrates the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The concert started with a formal program headed by Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Philippines Han Dong Man; Vice Minister of Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Kim Yong  Sam; and Executive Director of National Archives of the Philippines Victorino M. Manalo.

Pinoy rock band Silent Sanctuary, as well as K-Pop groups APRIL, NOIR, and NCT Dream then performed their hit songs that elicited cheers from the crowd.
