HallyUP throwbacks to retro K-Pop with HallyUniverse “ReVIbe”

HallyUP held a festive throwback last April 27 at the UP Sunken Garden with the sixth installment of HallyUniverse.

Dubbed “ReVIbe,” the annual flagship event of HallyUP (officially University of the Philippines Society of Students for Korean Popular Culture) took a retro theme this year, highlighting Korean pop culture and fashion of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. It also showcased K-Pop music that celebrated the same theme. This was the second year HallyUniverse was held at the UP Sunken Garden.

Aside from booths and games, the event was peppered with a lot of performances from K-Pop cover groups within and outside UP. Some of the highlights included performances K-Pop dance instructor Joshua Decena, HallyUP alumna Joyce Villanueva, sibling duo MiU, and 2015 KPOP Cover Dance Festival representative Zero to Hero. The night capped with five-member Korea management-trained Pinoy idol group SB19.

Check out the photos from the event last Saturday!

We would like to thank HallyUP for inviting us to HallyUniverse ReVIbe.
