Sue Ramirez is starring in a film with a K-Pop group member!
The Kapamilya actress is part of the cast of the film Sunshine Family, an adaptation of the 1992 Japanese film Hikinige Family. Nonie Buencamino, Shamaine Centenera, and Marco Masa are also part of the Pinoy cast.
And Sue’s love interest? None other than Shinwoo of K-Pop group Blanc7!
The plot revolves around a Filipino family who returns to the Philippines after living in Korea for five years. A car accident and a conspiracy force the members of the family to confront their issues.
We see Shinwoo in a police officer’s uniform, plus a kissing scene between him and Sue in the film’s teaser! Check it out below.
In an interview with Push, Sue talked about what it was like working with Shinwoo and what she has learned about the Korean entertainment industry.
Sunshine Family is a Filipino-Korean co-production under Spring Films and Film Line. It is directed by award-winning Korean director Kim Tai Sik, whose works include Driving with My Wife’s Lover (2006), Red Vacance Black Wedding (2011), and Heartbreak Hotel (2015).
The movie hits theaters on June 5.
