Bela Padilla will be replacing Nadine Lustre in the Philippine remake of “Miracle in Cell No. 7.” According to CNN Philippines, Lustre had begged off the project because of medical concerns.
“Miss Lustre has begged off the project due to medical concerns and her resulting inability to perform her duties as an actress during the shoot up to the promotion of the film.”

“Miracle in Cell No. 7” will be Viva Films’ entry to the 2019 Metro Manila Film festival.
The hit Korean movie Miracle in Cell No. 7 is the second film to get a Filipino adaptation this 2019.
Website PEP.ph broke the news on July 3 that the remake of the 2013 film will star Nadine Lustre and Aga Muhlach. Other cast members include Joel Torre, JC Santos, and Arjo Atayde.
Earlier in June, it was announced that Nadine will star in the Filipino remake of the K-Movie Spellbound alongside James Reid.
The Filipino remake of Miracle in Cell No. 7 will be produced by Viva Films and directed by Nuel Naval, who directs for the drama anthology series “Maalaala mo Kaya.”
The Filipino adaptation of Miracle in Cell No. 7 is one of the first four films announced as entries for the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Miracle in Cell No. 7 is stars Ryu Seung Ryong, Kal So Won, and Park Shin Hye. It tells the story of a mentally challenged single father that was wrongfully imprisoned for murder.
