This Month’s Beat: ATEEZ

It may be the rainy season in the Philippines, but it’s still the summer in Korea. This means that K-Pop artists are releasing summer-related comebacks left and right, soaking up on the summer sun and making our day bright despite the rain showers. And this includes none other than eight-member boy group, ATEEZ!

Before their debut, the group was initially called KQ Fellaz after their label, KQ Entertainment. Their name was later changed to ATEEZ, which stands for “A TEEnager Z.”

Seonghwa, Hongjoong, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho soon debuted on October 24, 2018 with their EP Treasure EP1: All To Zero and the title tracks, “Pirate King” and “Treasure.”

ATEEZ was determined to start the year 2019 with a bang. On January, they released their second EP, Treasure EP2: Zero to One with the title track “Say My Name.”

They also announced their first tour, titled “The Exhibition Tour,” where they toured sold-out shows in North America and Europe. They’ll continue their concert tour in Australia in August.

In June, ATEEZ released their third EP, Treasure EP3: One to All. The title track, “Wave,” earned the group their first music win on M Countdown on June 20.
