Koreans still top tourists in the Philippines

South Korea is still our biggest source of tourists, according to the Department of Tourism‘s (DOT) latest figures for tourist arrivals in the country for the first half of 2019.

Although no numbers have been revealed, South Korea ranks first as the number one source of tourists in the country, followed by China, and then United States, Japan, and Taiwan.

In the latest available data from the DOT’s website, South Koreans have posted an 11.76 percent growth rate in tourist arrival between January and May 2019, compared to the same period of the previous year, with 788,530 tourists arriving in the Philippines.

The DOT announced that the overall number of tourists in the Philippines has increased by 11.43 percent from the previous year
