Indonesian remake of “Kita Kita” set in Busan

The blockbuster hit Filipino indie film “Kita Kita” is getting an Indonesian remake and it is set not in Japan but in Korea.

The Indonesian version, titled “Cinta Itu Buta” (“Love is Blind”), of the 2017 Pinoy film was set in Busan, South Korea instead of Sapporo, Japan where “Kita Kita” was shot. While the setting might have changed, the trailer seemed to be faithful to the original film. “Kita Kita” starred Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy.

“Cinta Itu Buta” is set for release on October 10.
