Choi Siwon prays for safety of Filipinos following Taal eruption, earthquakes

Super Junior member and UNICEF ambassador to East Asia and the Pacific Choi Siwon took to Twitter to post that he has been praying for the Philippines amidst the volcanic rumble of the Taal volcano and a 5-point magnitude earthquake in Surigao del Sur.

He also posted the same tweet in Korean.

Currently, the volcanic eruption has left settlers near the volcano displaced. Volcanic ash has also reached atmospheric levels, affecting areas in Cavite, Batangas, and some parts of Metro Manila. PHILVOLCS has raised the alert to Level 4 due to a possible hazardous eruption within days.

As for the earthquake, no casualties have been reported but PHILVOLCS warns of possible aftershocks.

Always up and about, Cheska was once asked if she always meets different people every single day. Well – not always – but almost because it is part of her job description and because she is actively involved in church. Having the opportunity to join KStreetManila, she combines two of her loves – writing and Korean culture. During her downtime (which somehow rarely happens), she is either scrolling through Twitter, writing for her blog, trying to be fit, reading a good book, or appreciating beauty and fashion.
