Koreans remain top tourists in PH for 2019

South Korea remains the Philippines’ top source of tourists for 2019 according to the Department of Tourism.

The Department of Tourism recorded 8.26 million tourist arrivals for 2019, above the 8.2 million target. Out of that, 1.98 million were Koreans, the biggest of all tourist arrivals for last year. The Korean tourist arrival grew by 22.5 percent compared to last year.

This was followed by China (1.74 million), US (1.06 million), Japan (682,788), Taiwan (327,273), Australia (286,17), Canada (238,850), United Kingdom (209,206), Singapore (158,595), Malaysia (139,882), India (134,963) and Germany (103,756).

In 2018, Koreans also topped the tourist arrival numbers in the Philippines.
