Oscar’s Best Picture “Parasite” will be available for streaming on Viu

This is a press release.

When Bong Joon-ho’s black comedy film about two families of different social classes premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, it blew the jury away. “Parasite” won the prestigious Palme d’Or with a unanimous vote. It has since made its theater rounds around the globe receiving glorious reviews from film buffs and simple movie-goers alike. By the end of year, many critics have considered “Parasite” as one of the best films of 2019.

On its road toward the Oscars where it gained six nominations, “Parasite” has been gathering awards left and right from film award-giving organizations including the Golden Globe Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, and British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards. But of all the awards, the Oscars is the most coveted. Proving itself to be a critically acclaimed film, it was not surprising that “Parasite” won four awards: Best Screenplay, Best International Feature Film, Best Director, and Best Picture.

It would be a shame to miss the opportunity to see this film. It was shown in local cinemas October last year and returned late last month. If you still missed out, you’re in luck because Viu is bringing “Parasite” to its Premium Subscribers beginning February 15.
