In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, supergroup BTS released their previous concerts for a special streaming event over the weekend – and over 50 million watched!
Titled BANG BANG CON, the concert streaming event took place from 12PM KST (11AM PHT) on April 18 and 19, with four concerts streamed each day on the group’s BANGTANTV YouTube channel and WeVerse app. Fans streaming via the mobile app can sync their ARMY Bomb and have it light up during performances.
According to a report by Naver, BANG BANG CON gathered over 50.59 million views over the weekend, with an average of 2.24 million people watching at the same time. It was also reported that 500,000 ARMY Bombs were connected during the streams.
BANG BANG CON also became a worldwide trending topic during the weekend, with related hashtags used over 6 million times at Twitter and WeVerse.
