‘K’ for Kalma: Calm, Encouraging Korean Tunes amid Uncertainty

How have you been, KStreetManila readers? We hope you and your loved ones are all well.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect lives and livelihood all over the world. While some of us may be staying inside the comforts of our home during the Enhanced Community Quarantine, some of us are probably already feeling antsy, anxious, and fearful. We understand and we can only hope and pray that things will be better soon.

While many of us are probably binge-watching K-dramas or K-movies, we would probably want some tunes to quiet our anxious thoughts. Take this as a time to rest just as Baek Yerin describes. Take it from Lee Hi — take deep breaths when we are caught by our emotions. And always remember, you are not alone. Find comfort in the songs of Suho (feat. Younha), BTS, SEVENTEEN, GOT7, IU, and more.

Let the hope shine. Things will be okay.

Cheska De Ocampo
Always up and about, Cheska was once asked if she always meets different people every single day. Well – not always – but almost because it is part of her job description and because she is actively involved in church. Having the opportunity to join KStreetManila, she combines two of her loves – writing and Korean culture. During her downtime (which somehow rarely happens), she is either scrolling through Twitter, writing for her blog, trying to be fit, reading a good book, or appreciating beauty and fashion.
