Happy Mother’s Day !!! Mothers are called by many names-Mama, Nanay, Inay, Mom, Inana, Inang, Mamang, Mum, Mommy … whichever one you’re called or call out to, it’s one of the sweetest sounds you’ll ever hear. This Mother’s Day may be one of the toughest to celebrate. And yet we find ways, don’t we, Momshies? We may be missing some of our grown up children living independently but… that’s what video calls and group chats are for. One day soon, we will all gather and get as much hugs and kisses as we want. But for now, let’s not forget to celebrate, even in our new normal. I’m happy that I also get to call and talk to my own Mama almost everyday via Alexa. I sure wish I could visit my Mama in Las Vegas! For Mother’s Day, I thought of recording one of my favorite Korean songs from Crash Landing on You as a gift to all the Moms out there especially the ones in love with Kdrama. I have to admit that I am a newb and just started my imaginary love affair with Hyun Bin. I added Gong Yu to the list and I haven’t decided if I should also be crushing on Lee Min Ho but loving him in The King. I’d like to thank Ryan Bang for making sure I pronounce the words well. If a Korean will write a comment and say it was pure gibberish, you know who to message. Ok, guys? 😛 I submitted the final mix of the song to him and this was how our conversation went: Me: Gosh, sana maintindihan mo, Ryan! Hahaha. Good luck. Sumakit ulo ko. Hahaha! Ryan: Sobrang galing niyo po! Simula ngayon magaral po kayo ng Korean tapos ako na lang po RM niyo po umpisa po tayo sa Korea. Me: Tutoo? Bakit ako, walang naintindihan?! Hahaha Ryan: Kasi po Filipina pa po kayo kapag papunta na Koreana maintindihan niyo po 😂🤣☺️ You are hilarious, Ryan! Thanks also to Conrad for taking simultaneous shots on his iPhone along with my Canon camera for the music video. To my girls, you are my heart. I will miss the yearly surprises you throw for me! I can’t wait to give you hugs and kisses even with PPE! Happy Mother’s Day to us! I hope you like my gift. Keep smiling. You are the strongest person in your home. You give everyone love and inspiration. You are the most patient, understanding person…
According to her Instagram post, the Divine Diva is still new to the K-Drama world but she has already fallen in love with Hyun Bin and Gong Yoo.
“I haven’t decided if I should also be crushing on Lee Min Ho but [I am] loving him in The King,” she added.
In one of her previous posts, Padilla thanked Philippine-based Korean actor, Ryan Bang, for teaching her the right pronunciation of the lyrics.
