A new survival show called I-LAND is premiering this month, and they just revealed the first six participants.
One of them is Park Sunghoon, a former figure skater.
Sunghoon was a two-time national junior silver medalist who represented Korea in various international competitions. He won the 2015 Asian Open Trophy and Lombardia Trophy as a novice skater.
He debuted as a junior skater in the 2016-2017 season, starting the season by winning the silver medal in the Men’s Junior Division at the 2016 Asian Open Trophy.
It just so happens that the 2016 Asian Open Trophy was held at the Mall of Asia’s skating rink! Check out these videos found by sharp-eyed figure skating fans:
A joint venture between CJ ENM and Big Hit Entertainment, “I-LAND” is a reality show that follows the creation process of next-generation K-pop artists. It will share how the participants will competing against and working with each other.
The show will premiere on Mnet on June 26 at 11 pm KST (10 pm PHT).
