Pinoy pride SB19 makes it to another international headlines as Forbes Magazine online posted a feature of the boys.
Written by Tamar Herman, the article titled “Boy Band SB19 Draws Inspiration From K-Pop To Bring Filipino Music To The World” talks about SB19’s history, rise to fame, and the members’ opinion and thoughts as a leading figure the Filipino music industry.
“We have a sense of universality and we take something and utilize it to make something better out of it,” leader Sejun said when asked about K-Pop training and promotional elements.
“People have misunderstood us as a K-pop band, not a P-pop band. But I think what’s more important is how our soul gets into our music. That’s what I think is the most important thing, how we express our music into the P-pop industry,” Josh added.
“They’re still in their early days, but SB19’s already struggling, and the members have even spoken about breaking up at times. But they’re determined to move forward together, with the hopes of achieving their dream of bringing Filipino music and culture to the global media mainstream,” the article concluded.
