#KStreetPicks: 5 of KARD’s Best Looks Since Debut

Ever since they came into the scene four years ago (with their official debut a year later on July 19, 2017), KARD has proven that co-ed groups can work.

Known for their fun, club-worthy music, insane choreography, and meme-worthy antics, BM, J.Seph, Somin, and Jiwoo have always impressed every crowd they perform for. For this month’s #KStreetPicks, we will look back at some of KARD’s best fashion serves.

From the moment KARD introduced themselves, they already established that they will be very different from the rest of the K-Pop groups we know and love. When we heard their first song, we knew this was meant to be played at clubs all over the world.

“Oh Nana” features the four members dressed up as if they’re heading to a club. The looks feature lots of black, fur, and leather for both the girls and the guys.

For Somin and Jiwoo, they also show off that they can still dance while wearing boots. Trust us, that takes a lot of skill and results in aching feet for the less experienced/skilled.

A bit more public-friendly than their pre-debut releases, KARD’s official debut song is a summer-friendly one that provides good vibes.

In what is probably one of their most comfortable looks to date, “Hola Hola” features lots of shorts, lightweight clothing, ripped jeans, sleeveless tops, sandals, and sneakers. It made them look relatable, and it gave off the vibe that anyone can be just as cool as the group is.

For their first actual comeback, KARD strayed from their bright, cheerful vibe and went into dark mode.

The music was still club-worthy, but this is what plays when people are trying to catch their breaths from all that dancing and twerking. KARD proves that both guys and girls need a sleek, well-fitted suit in their closets. The suits made all four of them look sexy, polished, and classy as they performed their choreography.

In 2019, KARD went back to delivering the ultimate hype music. “Dumb Litty” went with a mythology theme in the teaser photos and the music video.

The characters assigned to each member was fitting. BM was Zeus and Thor, while J.Seph was Ares and Dionysus. Somin was both Aphrodite and Chloris, and Jiwoo was Hera and Athena. They showed how these mythological characters would have dressed if the stories were set in the present. You might want to take notes for your next Greek myth presentation or if you just want to make some changes to your daily look.

Their latest comeback features a lot of high fashion vibes from all four members. For starters, both Somin and Jiwoo wear long gowns ala Giambattista Valli. Then, there are fur coats from both J.Seph and Jiwoo. Somin wears a floral bodysuit in some parts of the music video, as well as this fitting red jumpsuit. All four members also wear zebra-print in some scenes.

Most dance scenes have them wearing all black, but there are enough details in their outfits not to make them look so basic. Then there’s also that part where they’re dressed in some sort of athleisure look, only it looks more runway-ready than the usual iterations of the trend. This era was pretty much a fashion editorial in a music video!
