Filipino actor Mon Confiado is one of the stars of the upcoming Korean film “The Golden Holiday” which is set in the Philippines!

Confiado joins South Korean actors Kwak Dowon, Kim Sangho, and Kim Heewon in the 2020 comedy action film. 80% of the film is said to have been shot in the Philippines.

The story synopsis as posted on Showbox Corporation, the film’s distributing company, is as follows:

A laid-back countryside detective Byung-soo (KWAK Do-won) takes his family to the Philippines for his 10th wedding anniversary. In fact, his hidden agenda is to track down his old friend Yong-bae (KIM Sang-ho) who scammed him and got away a few years ago. In Manila, Byung-soo finds Yong-bae in prison for murder, and hears about the case surrounding ‘Yamashita’s Gold’. Swayed by a share of the Gold that Yong-bae offers, Byung-soo suddenly becomes embroiled in the case.

Confiado is known for his several TV roles as well as hit films “Heneral Luna” and the Filipino remake of “Miracle in Cell No. 7,” among many others.
