10 Star Hunt Academy K-Pop Covers That Would Make You Stan Them

We’ve been seeing a steady rise of P-Pop groups and trainees these days, thanks to the pioneering moves of MNL48 and SB19, but one — well, basically two — has been gaining a massive amount of traction among Filipino fans. They are so good that it is almost impossible to ignore them! Not only do the members, or at least trainees in this case, are good-looking and charming, but they are also talented and persevering. And yes, we’re talking about the boys and girls of Star Hunt Academy!

Star Hunt Academy, often abbreviated to SHA, is a training camp established by ABS-CBN to train “young people who aspire to become superstars like their idols.” What’s interesting about SHA is that they’ve been transparent and well-connected with the online world, which makes their progress not only easy to see, but also gives an opportunity to interact with and gain more fans.

Talking about progress, it is not surprising, too, that SHA trainees — divided between Boys and Girls — have been showcasing their talents through K-Pop. Both SHA Boys and SHA Girls, as how they are temporarily named right now, have done a lot of K-Pop covers that are a testament to their training, growth, and appreciation for an industry that has set a blueprint in forming idol groups. With that, we decided to select 10 from the many covers they’ve done (so far) that we think are just great it could make you want to stan them!

Without further ado, here we go!

SHA Boys

Happy Hallyu Day 4 K-Pop Medley

Performed at the recently concluded Happy Hallyu Day 4, this includes a medley of three K-Pop boy group songs: SEVENTEEN’s “Let Me Hear You Say,” EXO’s “Tempo,” and BTS’ “On.”

NCT 127 – Cherry Bomb

EXO – The Eve

Crush – Beautiful

Of course, an idol has to be both a good dancer and a singer, and this song cover is one of our favorites!

BLACKPINK – How You Like That

Who said boys can’t do girl group dances?

SHA Girls

Happy Hallyu Day 4 K-Pop Medley

This medley includes three K-Pop songs: Red Velvet’s “In & Out,” TWICE’s “More & More,” and BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That.”

Wonder Girls – Nobody

Idols start from somewhere, and they don’t come out all of a sudden perfect. One of the best things about SHA trainees is that they aren’t afraid to show their learning stage!

TWICE – Yes or Yes

Red Velvet – You Better Know

Here’s a preview of their vocals! Yes, come through, girls!

Baek Yerin – Here I Am Again

Another showcase of the girls’ vocals, this time, from K-Drama land!
