Vice President Leni Robredo cites K-Pop fans for pooling resources to help the victims of Typhoon Ulysses.
Yedam Star International and Filo Blinks, fans of Treasure’s Bang Yedam and Blackpink, respectively, are mentioned by Robredo as among those who donated.
“Super touching that these K-Pop fans are doing their share through our office’s relief efforts for typhoon victims,” the Vice President says in a tweet along with photos.
“Thank you very much @YedamStarIntl (supporters of Bang Yedam of TREASURE) and @filoblinksph (fans of Blackpink) for your generosity,” she adds.

Various local K-Pop fandoms are active in raising donation funds for calamities and conducting outreach programs.
Recently, different BTS ARMY groups in the Philippines are able to raise up to Php3 million for those affected by Typhoon Ulysses.
Likewise, K-Pop idols have extended help to the Philippines. GOT7’s Mark donated approximately Php73,000 to the Philippine Red Cross through his friend’s gameplay stream of Valorant. Ashley of Ladies Code also sent her well-wishes to Filipinos, shared donation links on Twitter, and forwarded funds via PayPal.
Typhoon ‘Ulysses’ devastated different parts of Metro Manila and Northern Luzon last week, causing deep flood in low-lying and coastal areas. It comes shortly after supertyphoon ‘Rolly’ ravaged Southern Luzon earlier this month.
