KR embassy opens 2021 Global Korea Scholarship program

The South Korean embassy in the Philippines opened the 2021 Global Korea Scholarship program. It started accepting applications last March 6 and will end on March 19.

The Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea at graduate-level degrees, which will enhance international education exchange and deepen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries.

The GKS allotted thirteen (13) general applications and one (1) Korean language teaching professional slots for the Philippines.

Because of health and safety concerns, applications will only be accepted through mail courier services. The embassy also provided details for same-day courier services (including recipient name, contact number, and other important notes) on their notice board.

For more information, including complete guidelines and requirements, visit the embassy’s notice board.

For general inquiries about the GKS program, you may email the embassy at, and for submission and logistical concerns (i.e. questions about courier, address, etc.), email them at
